Christmas contests

Here is the information from past Christmas tree contest winners.

Colorado Forest Products, a program sponsored by the Colorado State Forest Service, wishes to thank all Coloradoans who bought a native tree this year, everyone who entered our 2008 decoration contest and the Denver Post, for co-sponsoring the contest.

The winners are:
1st Prize, overall theme entry: "Outrageous Tree"

Judges comment: "We don't know when we've seen a native tree used for Christmas with such character. The way this family chose to decorate a tree that most people would have walked on by is nothing short of fabulous.To use the most bare side outward and turn it into a sleigh hill for elves, well, what else can be said. The Gondolas that bring the elves up the hill, well that's just over the top."

To enter the Charlie Brown Christmas tree contest, we will need two separate entries so we can see a photo of your tree before decorating. You might write in that story what attracted you to the tree.
